ABOUT

Kristofor Giordano is a visual artist, researcher, and educator from New Jersey, USA, working across sculpture, drawing, video, performance, and writing. Rooted in research and material investigation, his practice examines how capitalist structures, institutions, and language shape the visible and invisible dimensions of everyday life. Engaging personal, cultural, and scientific archives through techniques of impersonation, feedback, inversion, encryption, and translation, Giordano explores the libidinal forces underlying technological and spiritual transcendence, while tracing how dominant narratives reorganize time, space, and political possibility. He received his MFA from CalArts in 2022 and is currently based in New York City. In Spring 2024, he participated in The Arctic Circle Art and Science Expedition, and presented written research through The School of Materialist Research’s program The Political and Its Limits in July 2026. His current research examines masculinity, violence, and political agency through Romanticism, psychoanalysis, music, comedy, and science fiction.
